Golf Cart Wrap Installation Guide

What’s Included:

Each golf cart wrap kit includes a 47in x 120in sheet of premium vinyl film—enough to fully wrap most standard two-seater or four-seater golf carts. Available in matte, satin, or gloss finishes, these wraps are ideal for upgrading your cart’s look for the course, the neighborhood, or the campsite.

Pre-Installation Preparation:

Clean the Golf Cart Thoroughly:

  • Wash all exterior surfaces to remove dust, pollen, and dirt—especially under the front cowl, around the seat base, and behind trim pieces.

  • Use 70% isopropyl alcohol for a final wipe-down, ensuring surfaces are completely free of residue, wax, or protectants.

  • Bug & tar remover can be used on stubborn areas before following up with alcohol.

Remove Panels and Accessories When Possible:

  • If accessible, remove or loosen the front cowl, rear body panels, light covers, trim, and any accessory mounts for easier wrapping and cleaner edges.

Installation Instructions:

1. Plan the Layout:

  • Unroll your vinyl and pre-fit it over the main panels: front cowl, rear body, rocker panels, and roof supports.

  • Decide where relief cuts or seams may be necessary for curves or indents.

2. Start with the Largest Sections:

  • Begin with the front cowl or rear panel using masking tape to anchor the vinyl at the top edge.

  • Peel back a section of the liner and apply using the Eco Glide Suede Squeegee, working from the center outwards in overlapping passes to remove air and prevent wrinkles.

3. Handle Curves and Contours:

  • Use the Inferno Heat Gun on low to heat areas around the fender lines, seat curves, or rocker panels.

  • Gently stretch the vinyl into place. Don’t overstretch—lift and reposition when needed.

  • For tight curves, make small relief cuts and overlap vinyl by ¼ inch if necessary.

4. Trim Precisely:

  • Use the Precision Knife and fresh OLFA blades to trim around headlights, seat edges, handle inserts, or roof posts.

  • Tuck excess vinyl cleanly under panel edges for a seamless finish.

5. Remove Air Bubbles:

  • If air is trapped, use a pin or air release tool to puncture and smooth outward using your squeegee.

6. Finish All Panels:

  • Complete each panel fully before moving to the next to avoid alignment issues.

  • Reheat and squeegee the full surface after install to activate adhesion and eliminate any minor lifting.

Post-Install Tips:

  • Allow the wrap to cure for 24 hours before washing or exposing to heavy sun.

  • Reinstall accessories and panels once satisfied with the wrap's final positioning.

Finish-Specific Maintenance Tips:

Matte:

  • No waxing or polishing—use matte-specific cleaning sprays only.

  • Wipe with microfiber cloths to avoid damaging the finish.

Satin:

  • Wipe in straight lines using non-gloss detail sprays.

  • Avoid abrasive brushes or cleaners.

Gloss:

  • Hand wash only, avoiding automatic car washes.

  • Use vinyl-safe waxes and detailers for shine and UV protection.
